Abstract | : |
The population growth and economic development of Ethiopia contribute for huge demand
to health care services in general and pharmaceutical products in particular. There
are various local and global players in Ethiopian pharmaceutical industry where
the competition is becoming stiff in the country. The major factors affecting selection
of a specific brand of pharmaceutical product is affected by physicians’ prescription
behavior. Numbers of firms have yet to understand and revise the impact of this
in their firms. This study was conducted to explore the impact of pharmaceutical
promotion strategies on prescribing behavior of physicians and determine the convinced
promotional tools that are most effective in influencing the prescribing behavior.
A Cross-sectional survey strategy was used to collect data through self-administered
questionnaire from physicians in Addis Ababa. Simple random sampling method was
applied to select respondents and a complete 270 questionnaire was found from population
of 934 physicians. The data quality was assured before data collection through pilot
testing and expert evaluation; data representativeness through KMO, and reliability
of the constructs through sample Cronbach alpha tests were measured. Factor analysis
was used for data reduction, ANOVA, F-test, and Independent-Sample t-test has been
applied to test the hypothesis of the research. The finding shows that sales promotion
has been perceived to be the most influencing factor and personal selling has been
revealed to be the second most important factor. The advertizing, sales promotion
and promotional strategies have also been perceived as the third, fourth and fifth
important influencing factors respectively. Public relation is perceived as the
least important factor. The pharmaceutical companies in Ethiopia need to apply aggressively

Abstract | : |
Disclosing Intellectual Capital is vital to enabling companies to appreciate their
exact corporation value. Recognition and disclosure of intangibles is an important
contemporary issue in the accounting and finance. There is no provision for disclosing
intangibles under the prevailing reporting practices. Rather, the disclosure of
such intangible assets is presently restricted. Worldwide, the accounting standards
require that financial reporting should provide information that is useful to present
and potential investors, creditors and others, in making rational investment, credit
and other financial decisions. Since these accounting standards, do not accord proper
treatment and recognition to Intellectual Capital, providing such information to
stakeholders is considered as an important activity within a company. The present
study analyses the extent of Intellectual Capital Disclosure on leading Bombay Stock
Exchange Index (BSE-SENSEX) companies. The study has identified 41 attributes associated

Author | : | Dr. Ankita Nanda |
Abstract | : |
The Retail Sector of Indian Economy is going through the phase of tremendous transformation.
The impact of the alterations in the format of the retail sector has changed the
lifestyle of the Indian consumers drastically. Nowadays the Indian consumers are
well versed with the concepts about quality of products and services. These demands
are clearly visible in the retail sector. With rapid growth of the Internet and
globalization of market, the retail sector has become an increasingly competitive
and dynamic business environment. The developed countries have already started to
take the benefits by transforming their businesses from old form of retail to ERetailing.
As the backbone of the businesses, E-Retailing explores the thinking of infrastructure,
social values, economical variances and cultural thinking. It has helped the companies
to think about the new business strategies based on up growing new technologies.
The current web-based models for etailing are part of an embryonic phase preceding
an era of rapid transformation, challenge, and opportunity in Indian retail market.
It is not just the metros that are fueling the online scene in India the demand
supply gap in tier 2-3 cities where there is brand awareness but no availability
of products and services is also adding to growth. A study shows that Europe is
the market for E-Retailing sales, Asia and rest of the world has only 47.51% E-Retailing
sales which just includes developing countries like India [IMRG World, 2012]. This
implies that the E-Retailing sales of these developing countries is still very less
as these countries have 80% of world population. Thus, there is a need to find out
the reasons of E-Retailing sales in developing countries especially India. Therefore,
the present study tries to find the growth drivers of online retail. In addition,
it has tried to analyze the online shopping habits of college going students which
includes their preference for various online shopping websites as well as importance
of factors responsible for online shopping. Keywords: Technology, Internet, Changing

Name | : | Changing Ethical Values in Hindu Family- Evidence from Doha's and Chaupai's of the Indian Scholars |
Author | : | Shraddha Mishra, Pooja Tripathi, Pratibha Maurya, Shital Sharma |
Abstract | : |
Epics and scriptures likes Vedas and Upanishads are the groundwork for any Hindu
Family. Since the birth, the Ramayana and Bhagwat Gita are the integral part of
any Hindu Child. In this study we made an attempt to study the changing ethics'
and values of Indian Family with reference to existing Doha's and Chaupai's presented
by famous Indian scholars such as Kabirdas, Rahimdas, Tulsidas and Raidas. The study
presents the changing paradigm of Doha's and Chaupai's in the 21st century. We have
considered the sixteen different Doha's and Chaupai's regarding vim and vigor by
the four pioneer Indian scholar and made an effort to discuss its relevance in the
real world. In context towards India, the study claims that the thoughts of the
ancient Indian scholars are perfectly matched with the existing Indian culture.
This research article is written for safe-guarding the intangible cultural heritage
of Indian Society. Study reveals that the thoughts of Kabirdas are much relevant
and motivational in the real world as compared to new management gurus. However,
the Rahimdas's thoughts on social behavior and ethical values are still prevailing
with the Tulsidas's special visualization on Lord Rama. The scholar Tulsidas was
efficient enough in that Vedic age to describe the existing political and sociological
aspects of the Indian families. The intellectual scholar, Raidas's vision was proficient
enough to bring the communal harmony in India. Raidas was the only famous scholar
of that age who focused on the present problem of caste and creed. In 21st century,
the ethical values of Indian's are dragging themselves towards the westernization.
However the annals of Indian Society and culture are still lies in the Doha's and
Chaupai's of Indian Scholars. It is suggested to the Indian Education system to
make it mandatory in the basic education to provide strength in the basic structure
and ethical values of Indians. Doha's means a rhyming couplet. These are two liner
poems. However, the Chaupai's are called as quatrain in English. These are the hymns
of four lines. The origin of these in Hindi tended to use common, simple, and slang
words, rather than the high minded Sanskrit words. The motive of this is to reach
the ordinary person on the streets, in India. Many of words used in Doha's are not
in much use today in modern Hindi language, which makes understanding it more difficult.
Re-phrasing the original words of the Indian scholars will be unjustifiable. There
is choice of words, and the sounds convey the power of Indian poetic legends. It
is suggested to learn the meaning and denotation of doha's and chaupai's in Hindi.
In the same manner you would require to be trained in English to understand Shakespeare.
In our view, it is better to learn Doha's and Chaupai's in Hindi, and collect its
additional meaning from the exploit of the original words, otherwise the meaning
that ancient Indian scholar's wanted to convey will be lost. Hindi is considered
as the ideal language for Poetry, but those expressions don't exist in the English
culture and not much common. Different experiences exist in western countries.

Demonetisation is a decision in which a currency unit's status as a legal tender
is declared invalid. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, by an announcement in the

bank notes. The goal of the demonetization in India is to make the economy stronger
and eliminate the parallel cash economy which is unaccounted and untaxed. Although
this can impact the GDP negatively in the short term, it should have positive long
term consequences. One of the main aims of demonetization process is to make use
