Name | : | Emotional Intelligence and Attitude towards Work of Teachers: A Performance Improvement Model |
Author | : | Mrs M. Suvarchala Rani, Dr. U. Devi Prasad |
Abstract | : |
Educational sector has metamorphosed to equip with the required challenges and changes.
Quality of teachers is the most important criterion for success of the educational
sector. In the educational process the crucial driver is teacher-student association.
Teacher as a role model plays an important role in shaping a student's personality.
Emotional intelligence (EI) has evolved as a remarkable component to build a congenial
atmosphere in educational institutions, especially in high schools, colleges (affiliated
and autonomous), universities and the society at large. EI can be defined as the
ability to monitor one's own as well as other's emotions and feelings and to utilize
the same information to direct one's thinking and actions. EI is a union of emotions
and intelligence. Both the abilities work simultaneously creating a huge impact
on both personal and professional lives. EI makes a meaningful contribution for
better understanding of people and the effective utilization of their potential
for their overall growth and success. The present paper tries to identify the various
factors that are associated with the traits of EI of teachers in the higher education
field, and find out the factors that influence the attitude towards their work.
With the resulting output, it is aimed to evolve a model to facilitate improving
the performance of the teachers in their work situation. The study uses valid statistical
tools including factor analysis and regression method to analyse the data. The findings
of the research paper indicate that EI of the teacher is significantly related to
the teacher's positive attitude towards work. In order to raise the level of the
teachers' work involvement it could be possible to enable them to improve their
level of EI and be more confident and successful both personally and professionally.
The study is considered to aid the teachers and organizations in enhancing their
performance, through organising various programmes for personal development and
EI. Keywords: Emotional intelligence, attitude personal and professional development,
performance.

Name | : | Air Pollution and Odd-Even Scheme from the Perspective of Theory of Reasoned Action |
Author | : | Dr. Ekta Duggal, Prof. Harsh V. Verma |
Abstract | : |
Environment degradation poses a serious threat to survival of human race. In this
regard, air pollution poses immediate risk. Pollution free air is scarce commodity.
Delhi has earned a dubious distinction of being one of the most polluted cities
of the world. This has pressed the City government to embark upon Odd-Even scheme
achieve drastic reduction in vehicles hitting the roads. The intriguing aspect of
this scheme was that even though people apparently exhibit concern about pollution
the scheme was resisted vociferously some groups. In this background this study
was undertaken to investigate people response using theory of reasoned action. For
this purpose, a structural equation modeling was developed by by specifying structural
and measurement variables. The constructs in the model were attitude, social norms
and perceived behavioral control as antecedents or independent variables that influence
dependent construct of intentions. It was found that out of three independent variables,
only relationship that was found to be statistically significant was between perceived
behavioral control and intentions. It flows from the study that the contribution
of independent variables to dependent variable must be strengthened by increasing
their beta value by launching appropriate communications and behavior facilitating
programs. Keywords: Consumer attitude, behavioral intentions, odd-even scheme, social
norms, perceived behavioral control.

Name | : | An Analysis of Green Marketing Practices among Pharmaceutical Firms in India |
Author | : | Sweta Singh, Prof. K.S. Thakur |
Abstract | : |
There is an aggressive growing of awareness of the continuous environmental degradation
that is facing current and future generations. The green marketing has developed
into a known phrase in current years as organizations have focused on the environmentally
alert consumer and growing stricter environmental rules. It notifies efforts of
designing, promoting, costing and distributing products that will not damage the
environment. The pharmaceutical industry in India has been characterized by a lot
of changes and an increasingly unstable environment. To live in such an environment,
the firm has to regulate strategic responses and turn up with green marketing strategies
for trading with the ever worsening environment. This study was therefore an examination
of green marketing practices among the pharmaceutical manufacturing firms in India.
The study showed a descriptive review that involved a study of the 21 manufacturing
pharmaceuticals firms targeting marketing manager or production manager in each
firm. Primary data was composed by use of questionnaires; the data was studied using
SPSS and data presented by use tables and percentages. The study accomplished that
the green market idea has not been fully adopted by the pharmaceutical industry
due to lack of information. However the companies are trying to put in place various
measures on green product, green costing, green promotion and green distribution.
They comprise conserving energy, water and material resources in production to keep
away from wastages and recover efficiency, product production that gather the legal
specifications, product production that do not hurt animals and humans. However
a number of challenges like lack of government incentives, financial expenses of
varying processes, products and waste management, deficiency of factual information
about the green marketing idea to both the industry and to the consumer. The recommendations
are that there should be stipulation of factual information to both the industry
and to the consumers; companies should build measures that make certain that the
notion is easily adopted and practiced by its members and the government should
present incentives for companies to turn green. Keywords: Green marketing, Environment,
Green product, Green costing, Green promotion and green distribution.

Name | : | Analysis of The Efficacy of Black-scholes Model - An Empirical Evidence from Call Options on Nifty-50 Index |
Author | : | Prof. A. Sudhakar,CMA Potharla Srikanth |
Abstract | : |
Normally theoretical price of an option represents its intrinsic value. The theoretical
price of an option is computed by establishing mathematical relationship between
the key variables which influence the price of an option. An effort was made by
Fisher Black, Myron Scholes and Robert Merton to study this relationship. It had
been resulted in the off-shot of Black-Scholes model which is a celebrated model
in option pricing. The present study is an attempt to analyze the information content
of theoretical price based on Black-Scholes model. The study has evaluated the efficacy
of the model using regression analysis by regressing market price of Nifty-50 Index
options on the theoretical price from January 2008 to December, 2014. The results
of the analysis disclose that the Black-Scholes model is a well-reflected mathematical
model and performs well in predicting the market price of the call options except
in the case of options which belong to out-of-the-money and deep out-of-the-money
categories. Keywords: Call Options, Option Pricing Models, Black-Scholes Model,

Author | : | Elaheh Mohseninasab, Davood Jafari, Nima Eghtedar |
Abstract | : |
Evaluating the effectiveness of macroeconomic variables on the stock market and
stock prices is noticeably significant. In this study, by defining the relationship
between macroeconomic variables including inflation rates, exchange rates, interest
rates, and stock prices, we first try to specify a review of the research literature.
Next, we examine the relationship between these variables and share prices and their
impact in Mapna and Takinco companies. In this regard, Auto-Regression with Delay
Lag has been used. Enjoying the required tests, such as the Dickey-Fuller Test,
Co-integration Test, Analysis, Error Correction, and the use of Neural Networks,
and using Econometric Evaluation Software, it becomes clear that there is a negative
relationship between inflation, exchange, interest rates and share prices. Also,
the effectiveness of the variables in short-term and long-term is taken into consideration.
It should be noted, Neural Network Model has also been used to enhance the validity
and reliability of the current research. Keywords: Inflation, Exchange, Interest,

Name | : | Influence of Electronic Advertising on Consumer Buying Behavior |
Author | : | Ahmad Askari,Drhamidreza kordlouie, Dr Vahidreza Mirabi, Dr Shahram Zare |
Abstract | : |
The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of electronic advertising on
consumer buying behavior. The statistical populations of this study are customers
and consumers of big food stores in Shiraz. The study has a sample size of 400 people.
The cluster random sampling method is done based on studied trait in the population
with the highest prudential estimate of customers' size. Cronbach's alpha for the
whole questionnaire is 0.92. For data analysis and hypothesis testing, one sample
t-test method and structural equation modeling were used. In analyzing the results
and considering the lack of a direct impact of content triggers on behavioral response
it can be stated that after obtaining information and awareness, and other content
perceptions from internet advertising, consumer does not reach to behavior phase
but he should pass the process of influencing (Cognition, emotion and attitude)
to reach the behavioral response. In other words, internet advertising is not instantaneously
influential in many of the products which need a higher level of involvement and
thinking. Therefore, their influential steps must be taken. Keywords: Electronic

Name | : | Employee Engagement: Key Implications For Human Resource Management Practices |
Author | : | Dr. R. Krishnaveni,Ms. R. Monica |
Abstract | : |
Employee Engagement (EE) has been the deciding factor of organizational success
in the recent years. The conflict for talent today is one of the prime challenges
faced by organisations, both large and small, and it has become increasingly harder
to attract and retain the right talent that is necessary to sustain a stable workforce.
To keep today's dynamic workforce engaged, is the overarching need for the practitioners
and academicians alike. The prominence of engaged employees is depicted in the strong
bottom line outcomes, productivity, retention, low attrition. Engagement has gained
huge momentum in the past 2.5 decades. Hence to leverage engagement in the minds
of employees, various enablers/drivers have been identified based on the industry
needs and generational differences. Extant literature identifies rational drivers
like pay and rewards, personal development and career development) and emotional
drivers(feeling valued and involved, involvement in decision making...) to drive
engagement in the work place. This paper consolidates the research activities of
EE and the Human Resource Management (HRM) practices that enable engagement further
in the minds of the employees. Mainly HRM practices are targeted because, any organization
has to have robust HRM practices to address the needs of the workforce.HRM practices
is an umbrella term which can address the individual differences of the employees.
In addition, though engagement has been in the news for the past 2.5 decades for
engagement to deliver its purported benefits engagement needs to be explicitly embedded
within an integrated system of HRM policies, practices and procedures This paper
brings about an integrative review of employee engagement and HRM practices to harness
engagement in the minds of employees which will result in organizational effectiveness
and accentuates EE as a tool for competitive advantage. Keywords: Employee Engagement,
