Author | : | Anchri Malhotra,Varda Sardana,Dr. Amiya Kumar Mohapatra |
Abstract | : |
Banks, around the world, are subject to stringent regulations, the impact of which is contested. This paper aims to present a comprehensive overview of the literature on banking regulations and supervision through an in-depth review of previous studies. The study relies on a systematic literature review of 237 research articles, extracted from the Scopus database through a structured process. The findings of the review suggest that the scattered literature can be classified into six major themes, that is, the functioning of the central bank, the role of bank channel in the transmission of monetary policy, bank bailout versus closure, the cost-benefit analysis of banking regulations, deposit insurance, and market discipline. The study illustrates a conceptual framework that captures the relationship between the regulators and supervisors, their policies and the impact that they have on the banking dynamics. The review also revealed certain gaps that shall help guide future studies in this area. This study shall provide bank regulators, policymakers and practitioners with insights regarding the effectiveness of regulatory norms to help them with the formulation and amendment of banking regulations.

Name | : | Evaluation of Factors Affecting Profitability – A Study on Listed NBFC-Ds in India |
Author | : | Dr. K.P. Venugopala Rao,Mani Sree Tadi |
Abstract | : |
Globally, the shadow banking sector has been expanding, and NBFCs
play a significant part in the sector's activities. The intervention of
regulatory authorities, prudential norms, and timely reforms made
NBFCs par with traditional banks in the financial sector. The study aims
to understand the non-banking financial system in India in the context of
existing regulations and sector performance. The current research paper
focuses mainly on the profitability of Listed NBFC-Ds in India and
examines their financial conduct from 2012 to 2022 by analyzing certain
company-specific and macroeconomic factors. Six listed NBFC-Ds'
financial data for an 11-year study period, making a panel of 66
observations, were considered for the study. Panel data regression was
conducted employing the fixed effects estimation model to observe the
impact of the selected variables on the NBFC-Ds profitability. The
estimation results confirm that among the NBFC and macroeconomic
variables studied, operating revenue, cash flow from financing
activities, debt-equity ratio, and lending rates significantly impact the
profits of the listed NBFC-Ds in India. Notably, the study observed a
negative impact of the debt-equity ratio on profitability. We suggest
increasing operating income and restructuring liabilities to help these
companies increase their profits. By providing insights, the current
study allows NBFCs to analyze the profitability determinants and frame
strategies to enhance business performance. Therefore, this study's
focus on NBFC-Ds is not just academically relevant but also of practical
interest to financial professionals and analysts.

Author | : | Hanna Mуkhalchenko,Vadym Lukianykhin,Olha Zviahintseva,Mariia Turiianska,Ihor Soloviov |
Abstract | : |
The current paper is aimed at researching the role and impact of strategic management in the public administration reforming process in Ukraine. Specifically, at how strategic planning proficiency, the effectiveness of decision-making, and the efficiency in resource allocation influence the success of modernization. Logistic regression employed on survey data from 230 public administration professionals shows that each of the strategic management practices in the sphere is positively significantly correlated with the success of modernization. Strategic planning proficiency registered an odds ratio of 1.86, which practically means a twofold level of the possibility of modernization success with each raising unit. Such indicators as the effectiveness of decision-making and efficiency of resource allocation are reflected by odds ratios of 1.63 and 1.73, which are quite speaking and point to the considerable importance of both these criteria in successful outcomes. The paper further explores the socio-demographic factors and their effect, which is positive for younger age and higher levels of education, while increase in professional experience do not influence the outcomes significantly. Of all the strategic management practices in this sphere, efficient strategic management in public administration is necessary for reforms to send a signal to some specific policy areas and to its professional development.

Author | : | Dr. M. Gurupandi,Dr. D David Winster Praveenraj,Dr. Shrinivas K,Dr. R.S.V. Rama Swathi,Dr. Vinayak Vishwakarma |
Abstract | : |
This research seeks to answer the questions of what influences consumers' online shopping behaviour and whether or not demographic variable (Gender) played a role during the Covid-19 pandemic. Seven variables were examined for their potential impact on consumers' propensity to make purchases through e-commerce websites. Using regression analysis, we looked at how seven variables affected consumers' propensity to make purchases through e-commerce websites.Proof of 'Perceived benefits' (PB), 'Perceived ease of use' (PEU), 'Structural Assurance' (SA), 'Social Influence' (SI), and 'Trust' is provided in the study. This suggests that a buyer's preference for a particular purchasing behaviour can be affected by how much they like shopping online. The results of the research confirm that the theoretical model is applicable to online shoppers' intentions to make a purchase. This aids relevant scholars and stakeholders in their pursuit of an understanding of customer behaviour under a given set of circumstances.

Author | : | Prof. Krishn A. Goyal,Teena Mertiya |
Abstract | : |
Existing theoretical and analytical investigation shave acknowledged India's rising influence to the Australian economy, even though revealed that FDI and trade patterns have largely remained unexplored. Therefore, this paper is an attempt towards analyzing trade and foreign direct investment (FDI) trends between India and Australia.Secondary data has been used for analyzing over the period of past ten years from 2012to2022. According to findings, both FDI and trade have been expanding over the previous ten years. Further, results indicating a trade deficit for India since exports were erratically less than imports. Nevertheless, the relative trends produce a positive picture since export growth has outpaced import growth eight out of ten occasions. In addition, India clearly prefers to encourage FDI inflows instead of making outward investments in Australia. The relative trends indicating inbound FDI has outpaced outbound FDI seven out of ten occasions. Lastly, it’s not just India that is going to be benefitted but it will have a reciprocal effect. Australia's vulnerability to global risk will be minimized if India would be one of its top 3 export destinations, and can generate greater two-way investment, to diversify and protect from uncertainty.
