Name | : | Intellectual Capital Performance: A Comparative Study between Family and Non-Family-Owned Business in India |
Author | : | Kanu Pahwa,Dr. Puneeta Goel,Dr. Jyoti Rana, Dr. Rupali Misra |
Abstract | : |
The objective of the paper is to examine the impact of founder's family
equity and family board presence on intellectual capital performance
(ICP) of the company and further to differentiate the performance
between family and non-family-owned businesses in India. It employs
panel data estimation model using Feasible Generalized Least Square
(FGLS) regression to analyze data on 308 companies listed on National
Stock Exchange 500 (NSE 500) in India between 2012 and 2022. This
paper utilizes the modified value-added intellectual coefficient
(MVAIC) approach to measure Intellectual capital Performance. Our
findings show the significantly positive relationship between the family
presence and combined IC which demonstrates that the family
involvement in company's equity and participation in management
affairs leads to improved intellectual capital performance. In order to
compare the performance between family and non-family businesses,
we applied Mann Whitney U-Test. Moreover, it has been found that
family-owned businesses are preferably in a position to achieve better
performances in sub-elements of intellectual capital except human
capital efficiency. Therefore, key take-away for family enterprises is to
design their human resource strategies in a way to build their best human
potential. These findings contribute to the body of knowledge by
identifying the essential components of ICP and figure out how to
distribute them in a way that will allow for superior performances in a
company.

Abstract | : |
The power and efficiency of women coming together, in their collective
voice, is a social and economic transformer and a fundamental enabler of
rights, growth and development (Hendricks; 2019). For an emerging
economy like India to develop and grow, it becomes very important that

consider their income and stability to be an emergency option. The
paper focuses on studying the financial inclusion schemes that were
implemented in India after 2014 which help women in particular, to
study the impact of the policies on the process of inclusion of women in
the economy, to analyze how the factors of women empowerment
already existing due to the policies are providing a boost to the overall
financial inclusion and to study the socio-economic impacts for women
due to the implication and the boost. The study employs secondary
quantitative data for the years 2016 and 2021 that were extracted from
NFHS reports. The Financial Inclusion of women is the dependent
variable. Social and economic empowerment determinants are the
independent variables. The study shows that there is a significant impact
of (Asst) women owning assets (house or land), (DFL) women having

Name | : | Sustainable Fashion for the Masses: Issues, Challenges and Prospects |
Author | : | Shivani Gupta,Dr.Priya Grover |
Abstract | : |
In a constantly evolving and innovating society, globalization has
affected the daily lives of people. Climate activists have been creating
awareness of the human-made climate crisis and how it will create a
huge negative impact on future generations. There has been a strong
attitudinal inclination of consumers towards sustainable products.
However, a decline in the purchase behavior of consumers for the same
has been observed, cost being the main reason for the same. Looking into
the increasing trend of consumers towards mindful shopping due to the
rise in inflation post pandemic, many industries have shifted to
producing low cost and low-quality unsustainable products for the
masses. The apparel and fashion industry are one of the greatest polluters
leading to many ecological and environmental problems. Fast fashion
apparel industry produces apparels of low quality from unsustainable
raw materials. Though sustainable fashion has been successful among
high-income consumers it is a farfetched dream for the masses. In order
to make sustainable fashion affordable among masses, companies need
to innovate their manufacturing processes and marketing strategies. This
research paper involves qualitative research with in-depth interviews of
fast fashion companies focused on understanding and analyzing the
challenges faced by them in making a sustainable and affordable fashion
apparel for the masses. The analysis has been done through
Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.

Name | : | Innovative Approaches to Regional Development in the Post-War Period: The Case of Ukraine |
Author | : | Eleonora Zabarna,Riznyk Dmytro,Iaroslav Petrunenko |
Abstract | : |
For modern Ukrainian territories, regional development is a
multifaceted process that changes the social structure of the region,
human behaviour, public institutions, as well as accelerates economic
growth, reduces inequality and unemployment. The growing
importance of Ukraine's regions in improving the efficiency of the
country's socio-economic development is becoming more acute as the
country's economy recovers from the destruction caused by the
aggressor country during the full-scale invasion. Regional studies
systematise and group the regions of the state according to the conditions
and specifics of their current state and prospects for further
development. Given the relevance of the chosen research topic, the
purpose of the work can be defined as generalisation and clarification of
theoretical and methodological foundations for determining approaches
to the innovative development of Ukraine's regions in the post-war
period. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks need to be
implemented: to analyse the current state of regional development in
Ukraine; to group regions using the cluster analysis method; to
formulate recommendations for stimulating and intensifying innovation
activity in the regions. The study found that at the current stage of
development, Ukraine's economy has quite significant imbalances
associated with the uneven development of regions, which has been
significantly exacerbated by the martial law. Accordingly, in the period
of post-war recovery, regional authorities will need to focus on regional
development and attracting investment in priority areas, taking into
account the current state and potential capabilities of each region,
according to its belonging to a particular cluster.
